Being Grateful in The Season of Giving

Have you ever had a christmas season where you didn't receive a christmas gift or card? Or what you received from a loved one, family member, friend, coworker is disappointing?

How do you find Gratitude?

Can we find gratitude in the simple action of one given to another. Or is it just about the size of expense of the gift? Or even receiving no gift? Which is then equated to either being forgotten or just not feeling important.

Where do you find Gratitude?

Is the gratitude in the season or in the gift receiving? It is often easy to feel lonely and left out during the season of giving, because the focus is on receiving. So here is some tips for those to get through this season for those who are single, no family members or real solid friendships.

1. Look around you and be grateful for being above ground. And every time you begin to feel that feeling of unimportance remind yourself, you are above ground.

2. Use your Imagination to remove yourself from a place of self pity or sorrow to another time place or era, meaning you are seeing yourself as someone else in a life long ago or a life to be lived in the future. Make your own mental motion picture. Fill it with whatever details that can pour you out of that space of lack of gratitude.

3. Drown yourself in a great romance novel or your favorite book of any kind that has to bring you joy. It has to bring you joy.

4. Seek out other families or organizations that want people to vista during the holidays, or maybe volunteer at a pet shelter if you love animals, volunteer to serve at the coal food shelter. Involve yourself in some kind of exercise. If you have access to your favorite movie, watch it over and over. The goal here is to find Joy and something to be grateful for.

5. Last but not least, Make a list of all the things you are grateful for. Be detailed. The silliest and smallest things. Post a list to remind you. If you still can't find the gratefulness in this season. Remind yourself again. You are In fact, Above ground.

Did You Know?

 Hi all our Amazing Followers!

Today we are launching a new weekly post named "Did You Know?"

Here we will choose someone from our fabulous Talent team, and let you in on any hidden facts that you may not know!

Today we are talking about actress Michelle Marotta.

Did you know, Michelle met the Beatles after the August 19th Hollywood Bowl concert. They met at the "Cinnamon Cinder" A club on Ventura Boulevard. It's now called the Palladium.

Are we not Jealous!??

Is Your Personal Character still relevant??

Recently,  I found myself questioning whether character is still relevant? If I say I'm going to do something, does it mean I do it? And If I don't complete the task, do I come up with excuses, for non performance?

Is our character diminished to the point, that we need signed contracts for anything that we commit ourselves too. If I commit to working at the local pet shelter and the events of the week or day change is it O.K just not to show up?

Again, Is it a character issue? Is being a person of your word, Important in today's society?

Is it relevant anymore? and if it's relevant is it particular to certain areas. For example, We feel our politicians should exhibit a certain level of character. Certainly we have seen time and time again politicians who have been thrown out of our office due to character issues, and have gone on to be re elected.

So I ask, Does character show up anywhere in our daily lives? Or has it formed into a species in to where it has now become extinct?

What do you think?

JFK 50TH ANNIVERSARY THIS FRIDAY

This Friday we Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Assassination of  John F. Kennedy. This weekend as I reviewed all of the television coverage I thought to myself, he challenged Americans during his Invigoration speech to "Ask not what your Country can do for you, But what you can do for your Country?"

There is no secret that America is in turmoil. Democrats against Republicans, Republicans against Democrats,  The Gun Lobby's against the Non Gun Lobby's. And the list goes on. But the real question is 'Is it relevant in my own personal life?'

For me, I would say yes, without question. I feel strongly about the safety of children, as well as the children being provided with adequate food to eat. So I dedicate my charitable time, to not complaining about too many people being on the Welfare system. But I spend my time asking people to donate to Food Banks, Working through my Church, Supporting Feed the Children and other Organizations that provide support for children in need.

So I ask you again, 'Is this question, from so many years ago, still relevant in your life today?

Let us know your thoughts.

From the Desk Of Beverly:

Positioning the mind when you are not achieving the outcome you desire.

The First,  is Eat well, Sleep well and Exercise well. Establish daily goals that includes contacts of those in position to give you what you want.

The Second, is resist blame including yourself. You can recognise things that need to be improved upon, rather than blaming seek solutions.

The Third, Keep asking. Even if you have to change your course. Create a new one and continually ask.

Lots of light,

Uniquely Beverly. xx

Be Prepared!

From the Desk of Beverly,

"The most successful actors are those who are prepared for the changes that are thrown at them during the audition process. Change should not be feared, but used as an opportunity that allows you to shine."
